Do not try to log in through the Minecraft app as it should work directly from the Smartglass app. It should hopefully already show your Gamertag on the main menu. Run Minecraft Gear VR as found under "Unknown Sources" on the Quest 2. Log into your Xbox Account through this app. STEP THREE: SETUP MINECRAFT -Run the Xbox One Smartglass App as found under "Unknown Sources" on the Quest 2. Directly install Minecraft Android APK on a second device for multiplayer achievements. STEP TWO: SIDELOAD/INSTALL APPS -Use the Sidequest app and choose "Install APK." to install Minecraft Gear VR APK and Xbox One Smartglass APK. This involves installing the Sidequest App on the sideloading device, creating an "Organization" on the Oculus/Meta website, installing any drivers needed on the sideloading device, enabling Developer Mode on the Quest 2, and enabling USB Debugging on the Quest 2. STEP ONE: PREPARE HEADSET Follow the steps needed to sideload apps on your Quest 2 as described at or search for the latest directions. Although I was able to sync a bluetooth Xbox One controller, the joysticks wouldn't function properly so I just used the default Quest controllers instead. This may also work on Oculus Quest 1, Oculus Go, or future standalone headsets but I personally only used the Quest 2. HARDWARE YOU WILL NEED: -Oculus/Meta Quest 2 VR Headset.
